Gents Win First Conference Basketball Game and Reveal Mascot

The Centenary Gents basketball team won their first conference game Thursday night, defeating South Dakota State 80-77. The winner of the mascot voting was also revealed during halftime of this important game. A Catahoula puppy named Skeeter was introduced as Centenary College's new mascot. The school's athletic teams will still be known as the Gents and Ladies. The 18-month-old pup was rescued from a Houston animal shelter Thursday. Read the entire Times article.
